Snow on Snow

“Snow on Snow” was composed in early 2018, inspired by a winter landscape twice transformed: first by a blanket of snow, only to be followed the next day by another layer of white. The stillness outside after a winter storm is magical but fleeting, as the snow melts and settles; but then, miraculously, when it soon happens again, that quiet and luminous world is restored. This piece, then, is my reaction in sound to that wonderful phenomenon.
