Kian’s Blues & Landini’s Nightingale

Kian’s Blues is a short, jazz inspired lullaby that was written late one evening as I tried putting my then infant son Kian to sleep. I always kept a guitar in his room for those nights where he had trouble sleeping. I would often play softly in hopes of soothing him back to sleep.

Landini’s Nightingale was inspired by a description of a performance by Renaissance composer, Francesco Landini (? – 1397), by Giovanni de Prato in Il Paradiso degli Alberti (1389).
