Solace

Although Scott Joplin is now remembered by his most famous ragtime pieces, such as The Entertainer and Maple Leaf Rag, the King of Ragtime’s output also includes a wide array of other compositions, such as waltzes, marches, two steps, songs, a ballet, and two operas. Solace is a unique work, as it is the only habanera that Joplin composed. This piece was arranged and recorded by the Janus Guitar Duo on their album, Passages.
