“One of the biggest names in the Brazilian instrumental music”, as stated by Adriano Vianini (Mais Vertentes, 2020), Octávio Deluchi is an award-wining guitarist in Brazil and in the United States: Deluchi currently holds a Graduate Teaching Assistant position at Radford University, where he is a candidate for the degree Master’s degree in guitar, under Dr. Robert Trent’s supervision.

​Deluchi has premiered works from João Luiz, Luis Carlos Barbieri, Vicente Paschoal and Mary Simmons, among others. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar and Music Education at UFSJ (Brazil), with Dr. Guilherme Vincens, Professor Vladmir Cerqueira and Dr. Flavio Schiavoni as supervisors. In different music festivals and concerts he promoted or took part, he worked with talents such as Duo Siqueira-Lima, João Luiz, Vicente Paschoal, Gilson Antunes, Flavia Toni, Dua Reis-Barbeitas, Michel Maciel, Moacyr Teixeira Neto, Fabio Brucoli, Mauro Brucoli, Gustavo Fontes, Luis Carlos Barbieri, Fabio Chamma, Rosana Diniz, Duo a Zero, Claudia Garcia and others.

Deluchi is a BCGC (Brazilian Classical Guitar Community) coordinator, AssoVio Vertentes founder member, co-producer of “Música sem Nome” podcast, and columnist at Prados Online website. Octávio coordinated “Domingo na Lira” concert series and since 2018 is guest artist and professor of Prados Music Festival.
