Three Sinfonias for Guitar Trio

$12.00

J.S. Bach composed a set of fifteen three-part inventions, or sinfonias, in 1720 while living in the city of Kothen, which is the capital of the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld in the Saxony region of Germany. The three sinfonias transcribed in this set include No. 6, BWV 792, No. 10, BWV 796, and No. 12, BWV 798. The original keys of these works are E major, G major and A major respectively. The keys of these transcriptions are A major for No. 6, D major for No. 10 and G major for No. 12. These key centers were chosen to keep the voice separation as close to the originals as possible. The music is suitable for advanced high school or intermediate/advanced college level.
